DMC Stranded Cotton Shade Card

Someone had recommended this online and I thought why have I never seen this in the years I have been crosstiching! I have many coloured threads with no numbers so couldn't really use them. I thought why not it's a good price and may just help me especially with a pattern I have no numbered colours for. Well this is brilliant!!! I managed to match my colours with the numbers and the nearest shade. If you use coloured thread and haven't got the shade you need I highly recommend this chart. I love how the colours are actual threads! The fold out design is great and the printed numbers on the page take you straight to the shades you need. 5star! Thank you!

I've been after one of these for ages but couldn't really justify it until I was given a load of un-numbered DMC. This has been invaluable in sorting them out and, lets be honest, it's blummin gorgeous to look at, especially when you open it for the very first time. I just have to remember to keep my dirty hands off it now x

Starting on this new hobby and I want to be able to use good quality thread but minimise waste. Having this DMC colour chart is super useful for choosing the right colours for my project. This was my first order with Stitcher, and with the help of this chart (which was cheaper than other online suppliers) I've just placed my second order for the threads I need!

The shade card is do much easier to refer to when choosing the right colours to order. Also it's just beautiful to look at!

Great guide for identifying Dmc threads and colour matching ones from other brands. Worth the money as it has thread swatches to show the colours and lets you match them up easier than the printed guides Order was easy to place and arrived very quickly

The card arrived very quickly in good condition. Expensive yes, but well worth it, no more guessing the right shade, only to have to buy another skein as it’s not quite right.

This is a handy investment piece in my opinion, so I purchase a lot of patterns and have a large stash of DMC threads, some of my threads have been inherited and have been missing their numbers so I have been able to find out those numbers using the shade chart. When setting up my new patterns I try to use what I have as much as I can rather than buying new every time, the shade chart allows me to see what a colour should be if I don't already own it, which then allows me to colour match as close as I can with other shades in my possession which is saving me loads of money and also meaning I am getting the most out of the threads I already own. It is pricey for what it is, but it is big, well made and features every shade with actual thread swatches so you can see in real life what a shade should look like which is very handy. Would also work for colour matching cheaper off brand threads. Only losing one star because of the price, however I would happily purchase it again if I ever lost mine somehow.
